Fairey Firefly Z1960 & Z1969 - 25/10/1944

On the 25th October Fairey Firefly No Z1969 was carrying out carrier ranging exercises on the runway when it collided with Fairey Firefly No Z1960, the aircrafts undercarriage collapsed and damaged the propeller, the aircraft was being flown by Sub Lieutenant Gordon C. Davidson. Fairey Firefly No Z1960 had to carry out a belly landing.
